Sambata is an artistic community and social movement that brings people together through the power of collaborative expression, inspired by a passion for traditions of music and dance in Cuba and Brazil. We are both a percussion school that offers musical outreach programs to the public, and a performing ensemble that delivers high energy performances in parades, festivals and corporate events throughout the GVRD.

Led by Paul Bray and guest artists, Sambata aims to create sustainable community connections and build cross-cultural awareness and respect. Since its inception in 2000, Sambata has touched thousands of lives through our classes and workshops, cultural events and infectious spirit.

Come join us and get involved!
